Once men and women of faith, they now exist only to carry the Grail’s influence into the trenches, their emaciated forms scrambling forward to consume the flesh of the living. Each Thrall is sculpted as an individual study in horror: ravenous faces in rapture or terror, and grasping claws seeking out the sustenence they crave. Together, they form a grim procession—pilgrims of corruption who march willingly toward their own annihilation if it brings the feast one step closer. The sculpt captures this unsettling duality in exquisite detail: layered folds of decaying skin, hidden mouths that gnash and murmur beneath its shroud, and the monstrous dorsal maw ready to engulf victims whole. Sometimes the curse of the Great Hunger falters. Sometimes the child gestating within the rotting womb of a would-be Matagot Hag withers alongside its mother and dies before ascension can be completed. When this happens, the corpse does not remain still for long. The failed offspring chews its way free, tearing through swollen flesh and ritual bindings alike. Diminutive, malformed, and robbed of the destiny promised to it, the creature nevertheless survives. Drawn by instinct and devotion, it finds its way into the service of Beelzebub, where it is given purpose as a Grail Devotee—a living icon of hunger denied. This set includes three Grail Devotees, along with attachable bases designed to magnetize directly to the bases of elite models in the warband. The tokens feature pre-sculpted magnet slots, allowing them to be added cleanly to represent their presence on the battlefield.
